Yves Saint Laurent (1 August 1936, Oran, Algeria - June 1, 2008, Paris) is a great couturier french. He led the fashion house that bears his name during 41 years from 1961 to 2002. Biography
Yves Henri Donat Mathieu-Saint Laurent was born on 1 August 1936 in Oran in Algeria, where he spent his youth. In 1954, at age 18, he moved to Paris where he took drawing lessons at the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture for three months.
