DMX (rapper)
Earl Simmons, born December 18, 1970 in Baltimore, Maryland and known as DMX (Dark Man X), is an American rapper and actor.
Biography
Earl Simmons was born in Baltimore, Maryland. His father left his family when he was very young, he is enrolled and remains in the boarding school in Yonkers, New York. DMX began his career in Yonkers, New York State, where he is MC with his friends Lox and DJ Clue. In 1997, DMX signed a contract with Def Jam and he was soon to talk about him. Car in 1998, he took the music world by surprise with the single "Get at Me Dog" which became a mega success. Her first album, "It's Dark and Hell Is Hot" between the number one Billboard in May 1998 and runs to over four million copies.
In 1999 he took part in Hard Knock Life Tour co-hosted by Def Jam and Roc-A-Fella Records. It is a tour of 54 dates in the USA where we find particularly Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Method Man & Redman, Memphis Bleek… The documentary On / Off recounts in part the tour for two and a half months.

In December 1999, DMX offers his third album,… And Then There Was X, who won the same success. In 2001, he releases The Great Depression was at a lesser audience. In 2003, he will propose a new album titled Grand Champ which could well be his last because he intends to take a long rest to devote himself to his family. DMX is also angry against Def Jam, and believed not to have received the revenue it deserved. Three years after he leaves Year Of The Dog, Again. Then in 2007, DMX best of his fate, The Definition of X.
In December 2007, he signed on the independent label Bodog Music, after leaving Sony for the failure of his album Year Of The Dog, Again. He is currently Walk With Me Now And You'll Fly With Me Later. According to its own context, this new project is actually composed of 2 albums, a Hip-Hop and another turned to the Gospel. The 2 discs should even out the same day, recalling the approach with Nelly Suit and Sweat in 2004.
Finally, the disc Hip-Hop, Walk With Me Now, should come out first. Indeed, according to the label, Walk With Me Now should be released in August 2008. A single, "Already" is available on the Internet since March 2008. On the other hand, knows more about this new album: the rapper should work with Nas, T-Pain and even the singer Seal.
